Events bring people together to celebrate important moments, and the right entertainment can turn a good event into a truly memorable one. That’s why we focus on creating a welcoming, enjoyable atmosphere where guests feel comfortable, engaged and ready to have a great time.
With a passion for entertaining audiences and creating memorable celebrations, SJP Entertainments was built around the idea of providing professional, friendly entertainment that people can rely on.
The idea for SJP Entertainments was first conceived in 2022, inspired by a shared passion for entertainment and a vision to create a service that could bring great music, energy and variety to events of all kinds.
In 2023, that idea truly came to life when Steve Patterson and Amber Patterson brought the concept together and began building the company.
With Steve’s long-standing experience in DJing, hosting and performing, combined with Amber’s enthusiasm, organisation and passion for creating enjoyable experiences, SJP Entertainments quickly developed into a professional entertainment service focused on delivering memorable events.
Since then, the aim has always remained the same — to provide high-quality entertainment that brings people together, creates the right atmosphere and helps make every event feel truly special.

Steve Patterson – Co-Creator | Director | Performer | Entertainer
Hello, I’m Steve Patterson, co-creator and director of SJP Entertainments.
Entertainment has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My journey began on stage at the age of eight, and from that moment I was hooked. What started as a childhood interest quickly grew into a genuine passion for performing.
Over the years I took part in a wide variety of productions, from amateur pantomime performances to semi-professional Shakespeare, earning several awards along the way. The stage became a place where I could connect with audiences, tell stories and create memorable experiences for people watching.
That passion led me to continue my theatre journey at university, where I studied theatre and graduated with a BA (Hons). During this time I continued developing my performance skills and deepening my understanding of what makes great entertainment.
After graduating, I stepped into a different part of the entertainment world with Mecca Bingo, where I spent around ten years working as both a show host and later a General Manager. During my time there I was heavily involved in the corporate entertainment side of the business, helping to deliver engaging events and experiences for large audiences.
Eventually, the pull of performing proved too strong to ignore. I returned to doing what I love most — entertaining people — and that journey ultimately led to the creation of SJP Entertainments.
And the rest, as they say, is history.
Amber Patterson – Co-Creator | Creative Director | Technician | Entertainer
Hello, I’m Amber Patterson, co-creator and creative director of SJP Entertainments.
After spending several years living in Spain, it has been wonderful to return to the UK and focus on building something truly exciting. Being part of SJP Entertainments allows me to combine creativity, organisation and a genuine love for bringing great entertainment to audiences.
My background is in creative design, where I have worked with a variety of companies developing ideas, visuals and concepts. Creativity has always been a big part of what I enjoy, and that experience now plays an important role in shaping the look, feel and presentation of our entertainment.
Alongside my creative role, I also work as a property manager during the day. But when the evening arrives and the music starts, you’ll usually find me behind the scenes at SJP Entertainments working as the technician and sound engineer, helping ensure everything runs smoothly.
From setting up equipment to supporting live performances and events, I enjoy being part of the team that helps bring everything together. Every event is different, which is part of what makes the journey so enjoyable.
It has already been an exciting adventure building SJP Entertainments, and I’m looking forward to seeing where the next chapter takes us.
